Thanks you guys. I'm feeling sick to my stomach about this. His family is so nice. They all grew up right by the water. They all surf. He's moving his arms and legs so that is a good sign. They are worried about the brain injury.

the uncertainty must be terrible but if he's moving his arms and legs, and his pupils are dilating, i believe those really are good signs!

Yes I agree He's a tough cookie. I was telling my friend that whole family needs a new hobby. No more surfing! She said when pigs will fly. He'll probably be back out there in the water once he is healed.

I thought this was about Jeff Spicoli.

Well they are I suppose. Their families know each other really well. We all went to school together. I checked. He seems to be stable. Stable is good
