I used to get drunk and call people and tell them "Im the big dick daddy from Dallas" . Oddly, that was the name of my first "real" amp because it came from Dallas Texas. (My old Laney AOR Pro Tube 100. Hope to get it back soon)

.....and back in 1981 I remember being thrilled that a modem hooked up by bests friend DOS (Texas Instruments) PC to another friends modem 15 miles away could send a typed message. Why that so so much cooler than using the phone I have no idea...but look where it got us.

2nd thought - info that should be accessible on line and the agencies that are to lazy or busy to upload info and files to an accessible on line account. sak

Public Records should be just that - PUBLIC and 10 keys strokes away (instead of travel to another state, sign in and wander around creepy basement archives or long distance call and hold till they hang up on ya). That goes for newpapers who archive on microfilm, what is it 1958? Buy a scanner phuckers.

And oh, I miss the good ole gossip ladies! It was way more fun when you had to chitchat with your best friend to catch up with the latest rumor. Razz

Instead it's way too irritating when you have to learn about what's going on in your "friends"' life (even if it doesn't really interest you...) cause a site decides to tell you (= it hasn't got any proper content and needs your own stuff to survive). I was lucky enough to have one of those oh-so-convenient phone applications so I didn't properly log on fb for a while and I used just the messages. For me it was more of an email with tons of features, you know... But recently I had to log on the "home port"... affraid

I guess I'd rather re-new the phone contract already! Razz

But I'd say that more than annoying it is utterly silly, most of all when it hasn't a proper reason. As when who unfriends you is the one who sent the friend request in the first place, but then decides to clean up the friend list, and maybe picks you cause you haven't commented how good she looks in those pictures of her granny's 90 birthday, or something like that! Laughing

It tells us how much we got used to the vacuum of human relations in the facebook era...
