Spent my last day with my internship class *sniff* But it was a lot of fun! And now that its over I'll actually have time to come and post!! Haha

I have one paper left to write tonight, one final next week, and then I am out of here! Moving back home for good.

Just back from 4 nights in Atlanta. Went for a Microsoft conference and brough my bride along. 4 nights of no kids!

It was the longest we had been alone in 11 years and we discovered we still like each other.

Yesterday was a German longbaorders meeting in Hessen, in a palce where you can roll 20 km downhill on end, with velocities up to 50kmh/30mph...
We were 60 guys (longboarding is not a big thing here yet, but quickly growing. Right now, the community is still small. Some of the guys had travelled 1.000km, many came from Hamburg, which was 550km away).
It was a mix of everything from complete newbs and absolute pros...guys in full leather protection and speed helmets rushing by complete newbs...
and it all worked fine, everyone was nice and you could try out any board you liked.
I agreed to transport someone's beer in my backpack, and got my share in return
I didn't have or see any accidents, but one guy broke his elbow...ouch!

Such a bunch of nice, laid-back people...a great time was had.
Since it had rained, the course was muddy, so I returned with mud in my ears...everywhere...my board was completely black with mud all over,
and my pants were torn apart...but damn what a great time

Took my mom to her eye surgery and it went well & right this time and I didn't pass out anywhere

the god damn Dr showed me her eye after I told him NO - WTF is so hard to understand that shit makes me very sick - tell people to shutup b/c what they are saying is making me about to faint and they don't! Say "no" don't wanna see and they wait till your looking and flash it to you - I shoulda puked on him. I come across more people who do this than not.

Just coming home from a gig of one of these Russian gypsie bands that are pretty in these days.
I gotta say it was fucking great. we danced our asses off and had too many vodkas.
We lost each other, so I had to walk home.
I listened to Daniel Johnston on the way, and it was just a nice mood.
Nights like this one are just badly neede from time to time. Bless you all.

Went to have my thorax x-rayed this mornnign and all is good (well, not as in "good" but as in "not dangerous").
I got a couple of fissures, but everything is in place and will heal correctly, the lungs are not pierced, no blood where it shouldn't be and my heart is OK, too.

That was one funny visit.
X-ray chick: "Yeah, well..your thorax is too big to x-ray in one go...I've never seen this before...maybe if we place you in an angle...hm. Nah, we'll need four shots to cover this, sorry"

Doc: "Looking at your chest, I have one major question: Why does the rest of you look OK? Your face should look like..*makes 'pizza' gesture over face*
...I'll give you some painkillers."
-"No, thanks, I'll try to do without the pills"

Bottom line: I'll sleep on my back for the next month and just try not to crash, and all will be fine.
