Round here, you can get valve radios off ebay really cheap...like 15 bucks, much cheaper than buying a new stereo, and the sound is much better.
I refurbished my Grandaunt's valve radio and I listen to it all the time. Plus it looks great.

I looked them up (wasn't sure what they were). They are cool looking! Yeah the digital tuning on all the new stereos make fine tuning a huge pain!!
