I was riding my longboard on the way to have a few beers in the park with friends this evening and crashed bad.
Some asshole had laid one of those really huge cables across the street in a very unsafe mannerorwasitjustmypenisand I hadn't noticed.
The impact was so hard that most of the beer cans in my backpack exploded. The cans stayed closed but were torn in two pieces in the middle, strange lol.
My left knee is soooo fucked. Blue, swollen, and there is no way of moving it in any way.
Sombody saw what happened and called an ambulance. The doctor xrayed it and said it was not broken, prescribed some painkillers and sent me home,
which was a looong trip since he said the insurance will not cover a taxi ride when it's not broken.
I have no idea how Doc is interpreting the situation, but holy fuck this hurts worse than the beer bottle in the other leg did.
I been bombing some hills at 50km/h in full protection lately and nothing happened. But then, nothing ever happens when you're wearing protection does it lol
I can't be bothered with this shit. It's the last days of summer, the weather rocks and I want to be out skating

Yep. Bastrop got hit real hard. It's fucked up. We've had a few small flare ups around here, but they're keeping them under control for now. Sure hope we get some rain soon...

The smoke is bad today. It looks like a light fog out there. The largest fire is 30 miles away, but the smoke is intense enough to make me start gathering up the items that I would want to grab if I have to scoot out of here.

Damn, I hope nobody anyone on here knows has been hurt by the fires.

Two weeks down the road and my knee is worse than before. Still open, still oozing massive amounts of green stuff, but the wound is closing.
What's worse is that it's still not bending (can't hold it straight either..) and I'm still not able to walk efficiently.
I wake up at night with the knee blocking, screaming. Damn, that is some fucked up pain, the kind that makes you see white flashing lights.
Had another X-ray and the doc says the bones and tendons are completely fine but he suspects that at my weight, I must have wrecked my cartillage, which is not good at all, since I had knee surgery on the same side before and they already chopped away at my poor cartillage. So he sends me to have an MRT made tomorrow.
All I can think of is skating. I see my board stand in the corner of the room and I just wanna jump on it and go for it
I wish I wasn't such a heavy mofo. Being skinny is good when you're gonna crash with your skateboard.

On a lighter note, we're really getting the band going. FInished a lot of demo songs, and Arnaud wants to try playing with us. We'll see mid-October, as soon as Thomas has finished his final examinations. Singing while half-lying, half-sitting down feels strange
